Ingredients: mie noodles, 1 chicken breast, 2 tablespoons ketjap manis, 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup, lemon juice, 1 chopped garlic clove, ginger powder, 1 teaspoon sambal, salt, lemon juice, 250 grams vegetable mix for bami (white cabagge, leek, beansprouts, chilipepper), 1 onion,
Make a marinade with 2 tablespoons ketjap manis, 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup, lemon juice, 1 chopped garlic clove, ginger powder, 1 little lemon juice, 1 teaspoon sambal, 2 tablespoons oil and salt. Marinate 1 diced chicken breast in it. Let marinate at least one hour, preferably longer.
Boil the mie noodles according to the designation on the packaging. Bake in hot oil 1 finely chopped onion. When the onion is soft, add the marinated chicken breast. Cook the chicken breast brown. Add a vegetable mix for bami about 250 grams (keep the bean sprouts separate). Stir Fry 5 minutes. Add the bean sprouts and stir fry still 1 minute. Drain the noodles and stir it with the vegetables. Pour the remaining marinade in it. Stir fry for another minute or 2. Tasty!
Bake an prepepared ciabatta following the pack instructions. Cook in hot oil 1 finely chopped onion with 100g sliced mushrooms. When the mushrooms are soft add 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup and 2 tablespoons ketjap manis (sweet Indonesian sauce). Cut 200g slices fricandeau in slices. Just heat a little more. Spread the mushroom-frincandeau mixture on the ciabatta. Enjoy!
Cook 150g diced bacon in a hot frying pan or wok. When the bacon is crispy add 1/2 shredded green cabbage, 1 diced aubergine (eggplant) and stirfry thisa few minutes. Add 2 tablespoons ketjap manis (or soy sauce). Season it lower the heat and let it simmer fot about 10 minutes. Serve with some potatoes. Enjoy!
Make a marinate with the following ingredients: 1 tablespoon oil, 2 tablespoons ketjap manis (sweet Indonesian soy sauce), 1 tablespoon curry powder, 1 finely chopped garlic clove, salt and pepper. Chop 200g pork chops in dices and marinate it. (Best is marinating it a night before, but an hour before cooking is also fine). Cook the rice following pack instructions. Cook in hot oil 1 finely chopped onion until soft. Add the marinated pork chops in and cook until it has a nice colour. Add 200g sliced mushrooms and 1 cored and diced apple (you don’t have to peel it). And stir fry until the mushrooms are soft. Serve with the rice. Enjoy!
For Babi Ketjap cook 2 finely chopped onions in hot oil until the onions are golden brown. Add 800g diced pork and cook brown. Add the herbs: 1 tablespoon koriander powder, 1 tablespoon cumin powder and 1 tablespoon ginger powder. Also add 1 finely chopped garlic clove, 2 tablespoons tomato puree, 5 tablespoons ketjap manis (sweet Indonesian soy sauce) and 1 tablespoon vinegar. Add some water, bring to boil, lower the heat and let it simmer for 3 hours. For banana chips: Heat oil and butter and fry slices banana (I took 4 bananas) 2 minutes each sides. Drain it on kitchen paper. Scatter some icing sugar over it when it still hot. We had rice and green beans in sweet & sour sauce with it. Enjoy!
