Ingredients: 1 onion, 2 garlic cloves, 250 grams diced bacon, 1 teaspoon chilli jam, coriander, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cooked rice (200 grams), sweet soy sauce,

Bake 1 chopped onion with 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, 250 grams diced bacon and 1 teaspoon chilli jam until the onion is soft. Add coriander, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to taste, fry briefly. Gradually add the cold rice and stir well. Bring the rice and soy sauce to taste if necessary.

Babi Pangang
Ingredients: 600 grams pork belly, coriander, Chinese five-spice, nutmeg, 100 ml sweet soy sauce, 200 ml oil, splash lemon juice, 2 garlic cloves, salt, pepper,

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cut 600 grams pork belly into strips, rub the slices pork belly with coriander and Chinese five spice powder. Make a marinade of soy sauce 100 ml, 200 ml oil, a splash of lemon juice, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, salt and pepper. Marinate the bacon. Fry the marinated sliced pork belly briefly in a hot frying pan. Put the marinated pork belly in a baking dish and place the baking dish approximately 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

Babi Pangang Sauce
Ingredients: 200 ml tomato ketchup, 2 tablespoons chilli sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 4 tablespoons ginger syrup, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar,

Mix 200 ml tomato ketchup, 2 tablespoons chilli sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 4 tablespoons ginger syrup, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce and 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar. Heat the sauce over low heat.

Babi Pangang with Nasi Goreng

Ingredients: 600 grams pork steaks, ground coriander, Chinese five spice, nutmeg, 100 ml sweet soy sauce, 200 ml oil, dash of lemon juice, 2 garlic cloves, salt, pepper,

Cut 600 grams pork steaks into strips. Cook the pork steaks briefly in boiling water gently about 2 minutes. Let the pork steak slices cool and then rub in to taste with ground coriander and Chinese five spice. Make a marinade of 100 ml sweet soy sauce, 200 ml oil, a dash of lemon juice, 2 finely chopped garlic cloves, salt and pepper. Marinate the pork slices in it for at least 4 hours. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put the marinated pork slices in an oven dish and place the oven dish approximately 20 minutes in the preheated oven. Eat babi pangang sauce with it.

Mix 200 ml tomato ketchup with 1 dash of chili sauce, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, 4 tablespoons ginger syrup, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon light brown sugar and some pepper to taste. Heat the sauce on low heat.

Nasi Goreng
Ingredients: 200 grams rice, 1 onion, 3 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon chilli jam, lemon grass powder, 1 egg, 3 spring onions, 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce,

Boil 200 grams according pack instructions. Make a paste in the food processor with 1 onion, 3 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon chilli jam and lemon grass powder. Bake the paste in hot oil until it has a fragance. Add 1 beaten egg and stir until it solidified. Add the cooked rice, 3 sliced spring onions and 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce. Stir fry until it is hot. Serve with the babi pangang and babi pangang sauce.

Ingredients: 4 tablespoons light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons grated coconut, 8 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 500 grams roast beef,

Mix 4 tablespoons light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons grated coconut and 8 tablespoons sweet soy sauce well together. Cut 500 grams roast beef into cubes and marinate a couple hours in the marinade. Then bake the Javanese satay on a grill or in a wok brown. Pour the remaining marinade over the satay while baking.

Javanese Satay Sauce
Ingredients: 2 shallots, 8 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, dash of lemon juice,

Cut 2 shallots very fine (easy in the food processor). Stir 8 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, a dash of lemon juice and shallots and mix well and serve with the Javanese satay.

Babi Pangang
Ingredients: 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon ginger syrup, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons oil, 1 teaspoon chilli jam, 1 kilo pork fillets,

Mix 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon ginger syrup, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons oil and 1 teaspoon chilli jam well. Cut 1 kilo pork fillets in cubes and marinate a few hours in the marinade. Bake the marinated pork fillet cubes in a hot wok around brown. Serve with the Babi Pangang sauce and Atjar Tjampoer.

Ingredients: 200 ml tomato ketchup, 1 dash of sweet chilli sauce, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, 4 tablespoons ginger syrup, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, pepper,

Mix 200 ml tomato ketchup, 1 dash of sweet chilli sauce, 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar, 4 tablespoons ginger syrup, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon light brown sugar and pepper to taste together. Heat the sauce on low heat. Mix the sauce with the Babi Pangang meat.

With it we had ‘nasi goreng’ and ‘bami goreng’.

Sweet & Sour Chicken

Sweet & Sour Chicken
Ingredients: rice, 1 chicken breast, 1 carrot, 1 red pepper, 1 onion, pepper, salt, lemongrass powder, laos, ginger powder, 1 can pineapple pieces, 1 tin tomato puree, 2 tablespoons ginger syrup, 100 ml water, 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar,

Boil the rice according pack instructions. Bake in hot oil 1 diced chicken breast. If the chicken breast is golden brown scoop it from the pan. Bake in the remaining fat 1 sliced carrot, 1 sliced red pepper and 1 chopped onion. Add the herbs, pepper, salt, lemongrass powder, laos and ginger powder after taste. Stir fry about 3 minutes. Then add 1 small can of pineapple pieces, 1 tin tomato puree, 2 tablespoons ginger syrup and 100 ml of water. Stir fry 1 minute, and then add 3 tablespoons ketjap manis, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 1 tablespoon sugar. Add the chicken breasts and head a bit more. Serve the chicken sweet & sour with rice. Enjoy!

Ingredients: 1 onion, 1 garlic clove, 1 red cabbage, zest of 1 orange, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons ginger syrup, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon chili jam, salt, pepper, 50 grams raisins,

Bake in hot oil 1 chopped onion with 1 finely chopped garlic clove until the onion is soft. Add 1 sliced red cabbage. Stir fry until it shrunks. Add the zest of 1 orange, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons ginger syrup, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon chili jam, salt and pepper. Lower the heat and leave to simmer for about 15 minutes. At last, add 50 grams washed raisins. Heat briefly. Serve with potatoes. Enjoy!

Ingredients: rice, 600 grams of beef, 3 spring onions, 1 tablespoon ginger syrup, 1 teaspoon sambal, 2 star anise, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce, 50 grams sugar, 2 tablespoons rice wine, 1 teaspoon Chinese fivespice, 500 ml chicken stock, 1 carrot,

Boil the rice according to the directions on the packaging. Bake 600 grams of diced beef brown in hot butter. When the meat is brown, add 3 sliced in rings spring onions, 1 tablespoon ginger syrup and 1 teaspoon sambal. Stir Fry still 5 minutes. Then add 2 star anise, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 3 tablespoons hoisinsaus, 50 grams sugar, 2 tablespoons rice wine, 1 teaspoon Chinese fivespice and 500 ml chicken stock. Bring to the boil briefly. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 1 1/2 hour with the lid on the pan. Add a grated carrot at the end of the preparation and let the carrot take half an hours to simmer. Remove the lid of the pan for the sauce to thicken if necessary. Serve with the rice. Enjoy!

Bake in hot oil 2 finely chopped red onions and 2 finely chopped garlic cloves light brown. Add 200 grams of diced chicken breast to it. Bake it around brown. Then add 2 tablespoons ginger syrup, 1 teaspoon sambal, 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Stir it well, add 200 grams short cooked green beans. Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles. Enjoy!
