Ingredients: 4 onions, thyme, rosemary, 2 slices of bread, milk, 500 grams minced beef, 1 egg, salt, pepper, 2 garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon flour, 1 bottle dark beer, 200 ml water, 1 tablespoon apple spread,
Number of meatballs: 7 small ones
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Fry 2 onions with thyme and rosemary in hot butter until the onions is soft. Let the onions cool. Soak 2 slices of bread (without crusts) in some milk. Mix 500 grams minced beef with 1 egg, the soaked bread, onions, salt and pepper. Make 7 meatballs it. Fry the meatballs brown. Place the meatballs in a baking dish and place the baking dish about 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
Meanwhile, make the beer sauce. Melt 50 grams butter in the pan. Fry 2 chopped onion with 2 finely chopped garlic cloves until the onions are soft. Add 1 tablespoon flour. Fry briefly. Gradually add 1 bottle dark beer and 200 ml water. Add 1 tablespoon apple spread. Let the apple spread melt. Let the beer sauce simmer on low heat. Season with a little salt.
Serve the meatballs with beer sauce. Enjoy!
