Bake 400 grams sliced oxheart cabbage briefly in hot butter. Add 50 ml of water and 50 ml syrup. Stir. Leave to simmer for about 15 minutes on low heat. Meanwhile bake in another pan 250 grams diced bacon until almost crisp. Stir the bacon with the oxheart cabbage. Serve with mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
