Sprinkle 500 grams diced beef with salt and pepper. Fry the beef with 3 chopped garlic cloves until brown. Remove the meat from the pan and keep aside. Bake in the remaining fat 4 chopped onions over low heat until onions are soft and brown. Put the meat into the pan and add a dash of vinegar. Stir. Add 1 can diced tomatoes, 1 tin tomato puree, 2 crumbled stock cubes, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce. Bring to the boil and then let it simmer for 3 hours on low heat. Add 1 jar peas and carrots (drained) at last and heat through thoroughly. Serve with rice and some chips. Enjoy!
