Bake 250 gram diced bacon until almost crisp. Add 1 chopped onion with 2 finely chopped garlic cloves until the onion is soft. Add coriander, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg to taste and 2 teaspoons chilli jam and cook briefly. Add 3 chopped spring onions and the cold cooked rice and stir well. Season the fried rice with sweet soy sauce.
Char Siu
Ingredients: 1 cooked beetroot, 1 garlic clove, 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice wine, Chinese five spice powder, ginger powder, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, 500 grams pork fillet, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon water
Make a marinade of 1 cooked and mashed beetroot, 1 finely chopped garlic clove, 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce, 2 tablespoons rice wine, Chinese five spice powder, ginger powder and 1 teaspoon brown sugar. Marinate in this 500 grams sliced pork fillet. Let it marinate at least 3 hours in the refrigerator. Rather longer! Mix 2 tablespoons honey with 1 tablespoon hot water and Chinese five spice powder. Remove pork fillet from marinade, rub the marinade from it and then rub with the honey mixture. Grill the meat on the hot grill. Then cut it into strips. Enjoy!
